Who We Are

My name is Angela Sanders. I graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington in 2005 with a Bachelor of Social Work and became an LBSW. I worked in nursing homes before getting my teaching certification. I am certified to teach K-4, 4-8, and Special Ed K-12. I taught Life Skills for six years in a diverse classroom in which I gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience in behaviors. This experience changed my life and my career choice. During that time, I attended college to earn my Masters in Teaching. When I graduated, I immediately began the Behavior Analysis program at the University of North Texas. I completed my internship for this program at an autism treatment center and remained there after completion as an employee. While working at the center, I studied for the BCBA exam, since my ultimate goal was to open a center of my own. When I received my BCBA certification, I then started my own business. 

My goal in the next few years will be to increase my staff and open two locations. One will be the Alvarado location and one will be around Goldthwaite, Texas, where I have family.

Autism Garden is located in Alvarado, Texas, and we currently work with several kids in Grandview, Burleson, and Cleburne.
